# Members

Invite people, change roles, and remove access.

Administrators invite people from the organization settings.

## Invite someone

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

## Open organization settings

Go to **Settings → Tenant** and find the members list.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

## Invite

Choose **Invite**, enter one or more work email addresses, and pick a role: Administrator, Member, or Viewer. See [Roles and permissions](/getting-started/roles.md).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

## They accept

Each person receives an email. After they sign in and accept, they appear as active members.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

Pending invites stay on the list until they expire or are accepted. You can resend an invitation if someone cannot find the email.

## Remove or restore access

Removing a member takes away their access to this organization. Their past activity on incidents remains on the record. You can invite the same person again later from the deleted-members list.

## Link chat identities

For Slack or Teams task updates and reminders to work, each member should be linked to their user in that product. Administrators do this from **Settings → Integrations** after the workspace is connected.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://support.incidentlake.com/settings/members.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
